I am a first-class Fashion Retail & Enterprise graduate with a distinct awareness of trends, a proficient knowledge of inclusive and sustainable fashion, and a love for content creation.
I am currently working as a Freelance Digital Content Creator and on the look-out for clients and collaborators who want to enhance their communication with customers and develop their online presence.
Like many creatives, my love for design started at a young age and I feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to bring that passion into my career. At fifteen years old, I bought my first DSLR and started spending hours perfecting my technique and teaching myself how to use Photoshop. During my teenage years, I started a blog to help build my writing skills and create a network of bloggers. In the years that followed I began attending events with other like-minded bloggers and content creators.
Prior to my time at university I had some challenging personal feats but I found being creative was an incredibly powerful outlet. I struggled to determine what I wanted to study at university but after a few attempts returned to my home town to study Fashion Retail & Enterprise at Newcastle College University Centre.
During my degree, I worked with a host of other creatives, working to build a collaborative portfolio that championed some of my favourite sustainable fashion brands and their unique identities. My degree had a keen emphasis on digital creation and I quickly became well-versed in a variety of creative programs such as the Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics and Dash Hudson.
In my breaks from studying, I sought out industry experience and was fortunate enough to shadow several inspiring women at the Plus-Size clothing brand, Pink Clove and a global fashion brand, Nasty Gal. Having developed skills in social media, I returned for the final year of my degree and was able to develop a strategy and content plan for my university course Instagram @fashionretailenterprise and work alongside Newcastle College’s Digital Marketing team.
Having recently ventured into freelancing, my work has adapted to involve social media management, street style photography and editorial design – check out my portfolio to see examples of my work.
